About Dmar Interiors

Founded by Mollie Ranize in 2006, Dmar Interiors is a full-service design studio known for its signature California Modern style—clean, collected, and full of character.

Based in Los Angeles, our work has been featured on over a dozen HGTV shows, including House Hunters Renovation, House Crashers, and Flip or Flop, as well as in Architectural Digest, Domino, Homes & Gardens, and more. Our process is rooted in collaboration, honoring both the client’s vision and the architecture of the home. From space planning to final styling, we design every project—from residential to select commercial spaces—with a focus on livability, texture, and timeless design. With hundreds of completed projects across the country, Dmar Interiors has had the privilege of designing for a wide range of clients in the entertainment, tech, athletic, legal, and medical industries, with projects in Beverly Hills, Montecito, Manhattan, and beyond.

Mollie Ranize

Founder & CEO | Dmar Interiors

With over two decades of experience, Mollie Ranize leads Dmar Interiors with a signature blend of creativity, clarity, and vision. As the studio’s founder and principal designer, she personally guides the aesthetic direction of each project—ensuring every space is Tasteful, Tailored, and Timeless.

Mollie is known for her thoughtful approach—whether it’s designing a custom piece of furniture, reimagining a challenging layout, or integrating meaningful family heirlooms. Her work reflects a deep understanding of her clients’ lifestyles, layered with elevated style and livable function.

A LEED-accredited designer, Mollie has been featured on HGTV programs such as House Hunters Renovation and Flip or Flop, and was a recurring designer on House Crashers for both DIY Network and HGTV. Her projects have also been published in national and international design media.

Mollie holds a degree in Interior Design from the University of Florida and lives in Coto de Caza with her husband Greg, their daughter Emmie, and rescue pups Bennie & Melvin.

Kaia Makihara

Design Coordinator

Kaia is a Design Coordinator supporting all phases of design at Dmar Interiors. With a background in Interior Architecture from UCLA Extension and a degree from Cal State Long Beach, Kaia brings precision, creativity, and a sharp eye for spatial planning to every project.

He works closely with Mollie to develop technical drawings, 3D renderings, and design documentation that help bring each vision to life. His thoughtful coordination and design instincts make him an essential part of the Dmar team.

Kaia lives in Echo Park and has a lifelong passion for dance, having enjoyed a successful career as a professional dancer before transitioning into the world of design.

Raul Chavarria

Purchasing Coordinator

Raul brings years of procurement expertise to Dmar Interiors, with a background spanning both luxury residential and hospitality design. Known for his sharp eye and seamless coordination, he manages everything from budget analysis and vendor communications to logistics on all products we procure.

With a deep understanding of the design process and a meticulous approach to detail, Raul ensures each project runs smoothly behind the scenes—on time and on budget.

A longtime Los Angeles resident, Raul lives with his wife, a fellow interior designer, and their two sons.

Greg O’Leary

Managing Director

Greg oversees business operations at Dmar Interiors with a focus on strategy, systems, and client experience. With over 20 years of business management expertise, he leads the studio’s finance, HR, and business development efforts—all with the goal of creating a seamless and supportive process for clients and team members alike.

From project setup to billing, Greg is often the go-to for operational questions, but behind the scenes, he’s always asking: “How can we make this even better for our clients?”

A Massachusetts native and graduate of the College of William & Mary, Greg moved to Los Angeles in 2004—and yes, he’s also Mollie’s husband (which only makes him more invested in the work we do).
