Well, I did it! I finally started a blog. I resisted for a long time, always wondering if the world really needed another design blog or if I really had time to write it but the timing finally feels right. What changed you ask? We bought a house for my mom! It’s every kid’s dream to be able to do something special for your mom and when you are an interior designer, what could be more special than doing up a house for your mother. So follow along as I share stories about the process, tips on how to renovate and squeeze the maximum bang out of every buck, and when it’s all said and done, see the house that mom will make her home.

In addition to the Banning Beach project (that’s what we are calling it), we will also share posts about other projects in LA, Santa Barbara, Orange County and beyond. We are happy to have you and share our love of design. I hope you enjoy the blog and maybe even learn something along the way.

We did it! Banning Beach Project Officially Begins!

Here it is everyone. Our little slice of central Florida heaven. I know it doesn’t look like much now but trust me, when we are done with it, this place is going to rock. I think I’m most excited about the outbuilding. I haven’t entirely decided what to do with it yet but the possibilities are endless and I have some ideas. Here’s another look at it from a better angle.

Can you say carriage house?! What should we do with it? A home gym? An office? A game room? Glam storage? A guest house? You’ll have to stay tuned to find out!

Inside the main house has great bones and I know we can make it the perfect amount of modern farmhouse chic for my mom. Here are some photos of the interior.
