Santa Barbara Spanish

Description

Perched on a hillside in Santa Barbara, this 2000 Spanish Revival was weighed down by dated and gimmicky choices. The layout left the kitchen and primary bath feeling tight and unusable. Our redesign opened the spaces and infused them with authentic character and timeless functionality.

Design Approach

Structural changes improved the kitchen and primary bathroom layouts, bringing functionality back to the home. Finishes were refreshed to reflect a timeless Spanish style. Soft, textured furnishings and window treatments complemented preserved architectural details like fireplaces, arches, and wood doors.

Outcome

We honored the architecture’s warm wood finishes and airy arches while layering in pattern and texture. The result is a family-friendly home that feels both inviting and ready to entertain.
